The ODF South Cascade District protects all privately owned land in the the Eastern half of Lane County (basically east of Interstate 5), and the Eastern half of Linn County (basically east of Lebanon and Brownsville) from wildfire.  This includes industrial forests, private forests, farms, residential properties, etc. (excluding properties in incorporated cities and their urban growth boundary). To determine if your property is within the South Cascade district, please click the Public Restriction Map button and click on your property

"Fire Season" was officially declared for all lands protected by the South Cascade District ODF on June 9th, 2025.  "Fire season" is declared each year when conditions of wildfire hazard exist.  Along with fire season comes a county-wide burn ban that is coordinated with the local fire departments.  

"Regulated Use" (Public Use Restrictions) were put in place June 9th, 2025.  ORS 477.535 to 477.550 authorizes the implementation of fire restrictions to all lands protected by the ODF South Cascade District, and all land within one-eighth mile of the protection boundary.  Please click on the Fire Restriction button to learn more about restricted activities in Eastern Lane county

Industrial operations are subject to the Industrial Fire Precaution Level (IFPL) Please click on the Industrial Fire Restriction Map button to determine which IFPL area you are working in, and the restrictions
